Fit Friday!

What’s everyone doing this weekend to stay healthy? Normally the weekend is our time to slack off on workouts and go out for beer and burgers with friends. I think Fridays are good days to have a cheat meal to reward yourself for working hard all week (right???), but don’t let your weekend reverse all the progress you made during the week.
For lunch today I had sushi and it was amazing!!! BUT on my way home tonight I stopped at the store to stock up on fruits and veggies and more chicken breasts. I also did my Combat 45 and Core Attack DVD (not fun after gorging on delicious sushi). Tomorrow morning I’ll make my egg whites and oatmeal and head to the gym to workout with my awesome trainer Chance who I know is going to kill me to make up for my splurge lunch today. ;-) my point is, make your weekend cheat meal the exception, not the rule…..get right back on track after and don’t compromise your workouts because you over ate! That’s not an excuse!
Sooo my tip for Fit Friday is enjoy a treat meal with your friends, then get back on the wagon! Don’t let your sushi lunch spiral your whole weekend into cheat meal after cheat meal. That will only make Monday that much more frustrating when you’re starting over. And get outside for a run or to the gym for some lifting! Believe me, you’ll be happy you did! :-)
